Assumption Church Choir

The Assumption Church Choir sings at the 10:30 am mass on Sunday of each week. We practice every Monday evening at 7 pm.
If you like to sing and can carry a tune, then why not come and see how much fun you can have by not only attending mass but also singing the praises of God.

The choir adjourns for the summer after Father’s Day which is the third Sunday of June and will resume again after the Labour Day weekend in September. Our source of reference is CBW 111 hymnal, which is in most Churches. The choir is directed by Joan Lepage, and if you are interested, kindly contact the Parish Office at 613.746.8503 who in turn will redirect your request to Joan Lepage.

The Catholic Women’s League of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Council has been in existence since 1943. Currently we have 103 members. The Catholic Women’s League is the largest national organization of Catholic women in Canada with 100,000 members from coast to coast. Members join for personal and spiritual growth, friendship and lots of fun.

Through active participation in the League’s standing committees, members have many opportunities to give good example and leadership in the formation and expression of Christian attitudes and principles.
Our meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month except during July and August, starting at 7 p.m. Our meetings commence with a decade of the rosary for all our members followed by the business portion and then refreshments and social time.
We hold two major fund raising events in the year, namely our Bazaar in the Fall and our famous St. Patrick’s Banquet in March.
Any woman interested in joining our organization may contact the office and their request would be directed to Joan Lepage, our current president,. at 613.746.8503

El Shaddai

El Shaddai DWXI Prayer Partners Foundation International Ministry is primarily a Catholic Charismatic Movement raised up by "God Almighty" with His Divine Anointing and Power to help the "Holy Mother Church" to proclaim the Good News of Salvation and a new life in Christ Jesus, our Living God and Savior. It was originated in the Philippines, the only predominantly Catholic country in Asia nineteen years ago.

In Hebrew, EL SHADDAI means The God Who is more than enough. He is the All-Sufficient One. The Jerusalem Bible translates El Shaddai as the Almighty God. (Genesis17:1/35:11)
It is the aim of all EL SHADDAI DWXI - Prayer Partners Foundation International, to proclaim to the world the greatness, faithfulness, power, goodness and love of God to provide relief to people whose hearts and minds are burdened with problems; to heal the spiritual and physical afflictions of men and women in our times; and to preach the Good News of Salvation offered by our Lord Jesus Christ. Praise and worship is held every Sunday at Assumption Parish Basement after the Filipino mass at 2:00 pm to 5:00pm.
